Meet Matty
Matty Lazo-Chadderton, M.Ed., is an experienced, well-informed advocate with public policy expertise in promoting equity in health and education for Hispanic and Latino communities and those living with disabilities for more than thirty years. Matty worked on behalf of the NC community, working in leadership positions including the Deputy Director of Outreach for the Governor of North Carolina, prior to that serving as the Director of Hispanic and Latino Affairs for the President Pro Tempore of the North Carolina Senate for ten years, Outreach Consultant at the Joint Redistricting Committee, NC General Assembly, and the Institutional Public Affairs Officer for the Consulate General of Mexico in Raleigh. In addition to a host of boards and task forces, she also serves on the Board of North Carolina Public School Forum, State Credit Union (Raleigh), Neuse River Park Council Advisory. Matty’s inspiration comes from her family whom she cherishes.
