Meet Mary Beth

With over forty years of experience in the field of mental health and developmental disabilities, Mary Beth is dedicated to making a positive difference, improving the quality of services, and supporting people to have choice.  Her work background has crossed different paths.  She was the Assistant Director and Program Director for Liberty Corner Enterprises, a nonprofit organization empowering people with disabilities across western North Carolina to lead fulfilling lives in their communities.  She has also worked as a Quality Enhancement Specialist with the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL), Consultant/ SIS Assessor for the American Association for Intellectual Disabilities (AAIDD) of Washington, D.C., Case Manager for Blue Ridge Mental Health Center (now Vaya), and Employment Specialist for The ARC of Buncombe County.

Mary Beth is a Person Centered Thinking Trainer with The Learning Community for Person Centered Practices and has worked with the Developmental Disabilities Training Institute and other agencies throughout the United States, consulting and teaching Person Centered Thinking classes, and mentoring Person Centered Thinking trainers.  Her commitment and passion is to inspire change through shared conversations, learning together, and honoring and telling stories to open minds and hearts.
